Codec2

Copyright © David Rowe and the Codec2 contributors. Licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License, version 2.1 (LGPL-2.1).

Codec2 1.2.0 (github.com/drowe67/codec2) provides the low-rate "Efficient" voice option. A 25-file subset of its voice sources is compiled into the app as a separate library; FreeDV and the OFDM modems are not included. Codec2 is free software: you may modify it, and reverse engineer your modifications for debugging, under the terms of the LGPL-2.1.

Source code offer. For at least three years from when you received Ham Chatting, we will send you the exact Codec2 source files it was built from, with our changes (a subset of the files and a generated version header), free of charge. Ask at unixeer@gmail.com. The unmodified upstream release is at github.com/drowe67/codec2.

libsodium

libsodium 1.0.22 (libsodium.org) provides the XChaCha20-Poly1305 encryption and the Argon2id key derivation that seal the twelve working channels, built into the app from the official source release.

The app is built with Flutter and open-source Dart packages, including bonsoir (network discovery), mobile_scanner, flutter_sound, sodium, shared_preferences, flutter_secure_storage and url_launcher.
